William Law, managing director of Uniteam HK, will speak on a scientific management methodology at the Total Quality Forum at 6.30 pm tomorrow at the Holiday Inn Golden Mile in Tsim Sha Tsui.
The methodology he will speak on was first introduced by Dr Eli Goldratt, author of the best-selling book, The Goal.
The Theory of Constraints, as a process of ongoing improvement, is a scientific methodology aimed at helping people manage a complex establishment.
The theory tells managers how to systematically identify the key constraints a company will face in its operations and guides them to exploit and manage those constraints to achieve significant improvements over a short period.
Mr Law will discuss how the theory complements Total Quality Management (TQM) and Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) in practice.
Mr Law is the regional representative of the Avraham Y Goldratt Institute and has more than 25 years of management experience in various companies.
