Beth Case, 22, is a riding instructor at the Lowu Saddle Club. She began riding as a child in Cheshire, England. Beth came to Hong Kong 21/2 years ago after completing a three-year instructor's course.

She also trains horses and competes in dressage and jumping events.

What's on your mind? I've got the Dragon Hall Dressage League competition this weekend at Beas River. This is a chance to get out there with the horse I've been training and show him off.

In Hong Kong, once the horses have finished racing they get sent to riding schools. One of my jobs is to retrain these racehorses to become safe enough for schools: to jump, go hacking and be calm enough for a novice rider. It can take up to a year with the older ones because all they know is how to go fast.

My horse is Call Me Special. He's a really genuine guy, but he was far too slow as a racehorse which is probably why he was sent here. He's got very little experience. I'll be happy if I just get round in one piece.

What do you think of the hoax video supposedly showing Princess Di and James Hewitt? I think it's really, really sad the way the public believe anything like that. The royal family does a lot for people. It's unfair to make something up like that.

As far as the horse industry goes, it's irrelevant, but I expect everyone will have a laugh at us over it. I just hope we don't get any more horsy girl jokes.
