Two florists and two of their friends appeared in court yesterday accused of possessing more than 17,000 fake coins.

Florists Yip Chi-hang, 27, and Wong Mei-ling, 32; and Ho Man-chik, 28, and Cheung Kam-cheung, 31, denied having custody or control of counterfeit coins.
Ho also pleaded not guilty to another similar charge.
On February 2, police intercepted Ho and found 503 fake $10 and $5 coins in his bag, the court heard.
A raid was carried out at the Royal Garden Florist Shop in Hunghom and 16,970 counterfeit coins, including $10, $5, $2 and $1, were seized, it was alleged.
