A group of enthusiastic dignitaries in the Wan Chai district has vowed to give their support to the Junior Police Call (JPC) in the next two years. The newly picked honorary presidents of the Wan Chai JPC were appointed by Police District Commander (Wan Chai) Harold Blud. At an inauguration ceremony held at the Police Officers' Club in Causeway Bay, the new presidents pledged their commitment to the JPC scheme. Officiating at the ceremony was Director of Operations Benny Ng, who praised the achievements of the Wan Chai JPC, which organises various activities for youngsters. The activities aim to increase the participants' social knowledge and enhance their civic awareness. Also present were Regional Commander (Hong Kong Island) Lionel Lam, Wan Chai District Commander Harold Blud, and Chief Superintendent of Police Public Relations Branch, Bonnie Smith. The new honorary presidents and guests had dinner together after the ceremony. They were treated to a variety entertainment that included singing and martial arts demonstrations staged by JPC members. Two singers from the Tom Lee Music Company also put up an impressive performance.
