A couple took legal action to claim back a $40,000 deposit from a magistrate's wife after they moved out of her Happy Valley flat, a court heard yesterday. Grace Law Kwai-chun, the wife of Eastern Court magistrate Winston Leung Wing-chung, claimed the couple had damaged property. Ms Law's counter-claim demanded the couple repay $76,364 for loss and damage. Paul and Valerie Zabaleta had moved into Ms Law's flat in Broadwood Road, Happy Valley, in May 1993.
