Sun Hung Kai Properties has received government approval to develop a five-block residential project on a former cement plant site on Tsing Yi Island.
The project will comprise five 39-storey towers with a total floor area of 826,628 sq ft.
The island project was among 31 plans approved by the Buildings Department in August. They included four commercial developments and eight residential or residential-related projects.
Wharf (Holdings) also secured approval for its Gateway 2 development in Canton Road, Tsim Sha Tsui. The project includes three 36-storey commercial towers with a floor area of 2.76 million sq ft.
Wharf is planning to convert one tower to serviced flats.
Tsuen Kwong received approval to build six 21-storey residential blocks in Tung Lo Wan, Sha Tin, while Konsun International will build a 24-storey industrial property in How Ming Street, Kwun Tong.
