Discover Love - Alex To Tak-wai Alex To Tak-wai (below) has put a lot of fine ingredients into his latest release. It features strong song craft and seamless production, like many of his previous studio sets. Pensive yet rousing, Unwitting Harm makes a strong send-off track, while the R 'n' B love song I Said I Said and the hip-hop title track add variety. Everlasting Smile, Secret, Baby Don't Cry and Honey are four of To's most beguiling ballads, and Fever is a funky joy. It's another solid set. All My Loving - Samuel Tai Zheng-xiao Never one to make the expected move, provocative star Samuel Tai follows up his smash album Thousand And One Nights with a collection of cover versions. He makes every piece his own, even when he is singing instantly recognisable classics like You're So Vain, El Condor Pasa and Almaz. There is also a duet with Vivian Chow Wai-man on Sometimes When We Touch. The result is a vastly entertaining set that plays like an extended soundcheck, full of love and romance. Touching Woman's Heart Volume 3 - various artists A dazzling display of female talent is evident on this third compilation in the series. Among those on hand this time are familiar names Sarah Chen Shu-hua, Chyi, Wan Fang and Pan Yue-yun, as well as the equally powerful likes of Sandy Lam with Wild Wind and Tarcy So with My Love. Most of the material is culled from the artists' albums, including Lam's Seductive Street from Night Too Dark. Palace Memories - S.E.N.S This is an adventurous set from the Japanese duo whose earlier releases skewed towards new age music. Here they skilfully add elements of classical music, including percussion, into some riveting, image-laden works. S.E.N.S. have a clever arranger's touch, creating ethereal sculptures like The Dragon or delightful haunting ballads, including Imperial Vermilion.
