$495,000 diamond earrings stolen

A pair of diamond earrings worth $495,000 was stolen from Seibu department store in Pacific Place last night.

Two members of a four-man gang kept a sales assistant from the Garrard Jewellery Company talking while their accomplices took the earrings from an open showcase.
