Cathay Pacific and Avis have teamed up for a deal which offers upgraded rental cars in Canada. To qualify, you must fly Cathay to Canada not later than November 30 and pre-book your vehicle with Avis in Hong Kong.
An example of one upgrade available is a seven-passenger mini-van for the same rental fee as a car. Contact the Avis reservation hotline on 2576-6831.
Cathay has also announced golf getaway deals from Hong Kong to more than 40 courses in Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Australia and New Zealand.
All packages include return economy class air tickets, transfers between airport, hotel and golf courses; a choice of hotel accommodation, all green fees - including caddy and buggy - and a daily breakfast.
Prices start at $5,325 for a four-day/three-night package to Hua Hin, Thailand.
From October 28, South African Airways will operate three non-stop flights a week between Hong Kong and Johannesburg.
