Intel says the Asian market will embrace Pentium Pro processor-based systems faster than it migrated to the fifth-generation Pentium systems that first appeared two years ago.
Vice-president and general manager of Intel Asia Pacific, Sean Maloney, previewed what Intel calls the next wave of business computing in the territory recently.
'It is ramping faster across Asia than the Pentium processor did a couple of years ago,' he said.
'I see it being mainstream on the Asian desktop by year end.'
