Ngai Hing Hong has postponed today's planned announcement of its results for the year to June because auditor Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu (DTT) failed to complete its audit in time, the group says. The plastic resin and speciality colourant supplier, the second-best performer on the Hong Kong stock exchange last year, said the delay was due to auditing procedures relating to its China operations. Executive director Taylor Ho said the group was informed by DTT on Monday evening the auditing procedure could not be finished on or before schedule. 'We have supplied sufficient information for the auditing, but we haven't heard any further request from them,' Mr Ho said. A spokesman for DTT declined to comment, saying the matter was confidential. The group recorded a 101 per cent growth in attributable profit to $42 million for the six months to December last year.
