ABU to look into piracy

The Asia Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU), the professional association of broadcasting organisations in the region, today will start its 33rd general assembly at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Some of the discussion topics at the nine-day event include programme piracy, radio studio automation and new business opportunities for broadcasters.

Guest speakers will include Governor Chris Patten, the CASBAA's Clarence Chang and Giuliano Rossi of the International Telecommunication Union.
