A video has been released outlining new teaching techniques for university teachers. The project - the first of its kind - was funded by the University Grants Committee and produced by the Consortium for the Promotion of Teaching Skills and Technology, based at Lingnan College. The video demonstrates three grants committee-funded projects - Action Learning, the Evaluation of Student Experience and the work of the consortium. It gives details of new technology for tertiary sector teachers. The video is the first in a planned series of 12, covering the latest research into teaching techniques, including the use of body language and other non-verbal communication, presentation for large classes, the way students and teachers perceive each other and team-building. Other topics will include the use of videos, the Internet and other technology.
