A poll conducted in the summer revealed that 78 per cent of students had read sex-related articles in magazines and comics, while about 48 per cent had seen pornographic videos.

The survey, A Study on the Knowledge, Attitudes and Behaviour of Secondary School Pupils Relating to Sex, was commissioned by the Education Department and the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

The authors called for the strengthening of sex education in schools.
