A group of biology undergraduates at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology visited primary, secondary and international schools during the holidays. Members of the group Promotion of Environmental Protection Awareness went to more than 100 schools to tell students how to protect their surroundings. They presented slide shows and gave booklets for pupils to share with their families. The students said they believed environmental education should start at an early stage. This was the second year HKUST students had taken their green message to local schools. Last year, a group visited 38 secondary schools.
