Eurasia Shipping and Management Co expects several more ships to join the company's fleet over the next 18 months.
Group managing director R Bajpaee said: 'Negotiations are going on with several major owners in Asia and Europe.' The company, which celebrated its 15th anniversary last year, provides technical and crew management for 35 vessels from its Hong Kong base.
As part of its globalisation drive, the company has established a regional office in Bombay and is in the process of setting up representative offices in Europe and America.
Mr Bajpaee said that the company had established Eurasia International (China) Limited Partnership to look after the group's business in China when Hong Kong reverts to Beijing rule on July 1.
Eurasia is supervising eight newbuildings being constructed in three yards in China. The vessels are scheduled for delivery between this year and next.
All offices were controlled from Hong Kong to ensure quality of service remained the same, Mr Bajpaee said.
Eurasia, which was established in 1981, provides full technical management and dry-docking services and supplies qualified and competent staff to man specific vessel types.
