A PASSENGER of a pleasure junk involved in a collision with a ferry in Victoria Harbour in which two people died has filed a writ against the masters of the two vessels and a ferry company.
Named as defendants were businessman Ian Watson, 55, ferry master Mr Chui Yung-kan, 53, and Hongkong Ferry (Holdings).
Ms Julie McCallum is suing them for loss and damages sustained in the collision on February 16, 1991.
On January 15, a jury acquitted Mr Chui of two counts of manslaughter and a count of endangering safety at sea. Watson was last month fined $10,000 for endangering life at sea.
