Children rewarded for telling tales

Youngsters impressed judges with their ability to express themselves at the final of the Children's Storytelling Competition at Hong Kong Cultural Centre's Concert Hall.

It was organised by RTHK and the Boys' and Girls' Clubs Association of Hong Kong.

Competitors were divided into five groups: Kindergarten; Primary One to Three; Primary Four to Six; broadcast drama and a family group.

Stories included well-known tales like Hippopotamus Having a Tug-of-War, The Vanished Baby Elephant and The Wolf is Coming.

The kindergarten group winner was Lau Cho-yi of Po Leung Kuk Tin Ka Ping Kindergarten.

Champion of the Primary One to Three group was Mo Wan-tsz of CCC Fong Yun Wah School (AM), while Yip Sin-hang of Pui Ling School of the Precious Blood (AM) won the Primary Four to Six group.
