Wong Man-on, 43, was in his office when two young men entered and spoke to him in a language he did not recognise, before producing a pistol.

One man began loading the gun. Mr Wong said he pounced on the gunman and managed to disarm him after a brief struggle.

'After I had grabbed the handgun, the men ran out of the office and were followed by another pair who seemed to be acting as lookouts outside,' he said. He suffered minor injuries in the struggle.

Police searched the area using tracker dogs but found no trace of the four men - believed to be Vietnamese.
