An elderly, partly paralysed blind man opened his door to a stranger, only to have the man rifle his possessions and flee with his life's savings.

Wong Hau, 75, pondered the theft for a week before a social worker convinced him to report it to police yesterday.
The former hawker, coolie and street sleeper, who arrived from China 48 years ago, said the stranger stole his $9,000 savings from a drawer in his flat in Tung Tau Estate, Wong Tai Sin.
Mr Wong said he allowed the man to enter his home after he offered to help him with paperwork allowing Mr Wong's two mainland nephews to come to Hong Kong.
'Judging from his conversation he sounded like a man in his early 30s,' he said.
