Principal puts faith in moral, civic education

A balanced curriculum and a well-planned moral and civic education programme are essential for young people's development, said principal Sun Yin-wai at Lung Cheung Government Secondary Technical School's annual speech day.

Mr Sun said the 'whole-school' approach to counselling had helped improve the students' behaviour and attitude to socialising with others.

Mr Sun was also pleased with the students' 'excellent' performance in public examinations, inter-school competitions and social service.

Guest-of-honour Julie Chen Wai-ming, Senior Education Officer for Wong Tai Sin, told students they should show their gratitude to their parents, teachers and schoolmates for their care, love and concern.
