Ex-envoy denies role in passport scandal

Paraguay's former consul-general in Hong Kong, Gerardo Sosa Argana, has denied involvement in a passport scandal that led to the expulsion from the South American country of 15 Chinese using travel documents with his signature.

The mainlanders were deported after their arrival from the territory on Friday. Mr Sosa Argana was consul-general in Hong Kong until late last year when an honorary consul was named.
