The 26-year-old factory worker allegedly attacked the girl, 14, after taking her home to the Fu Shan Estate, Tsz Wan Shan, on Monday. When the girl went back to her flat upstairs, the man set it on fire, San Po Kong Court was told.
The defendant was charged with rape and arson with intent. He was not asked to enter a plea and magistrate Garry Tallentire adjourned the case to February 26 for legal advice.
