The Fringe '97 festival was a chance for a Chinese University of Hong Kong student, Yeung Lam-ching, to display her art work.

Yeung, a fourth-year fine arts student, displayed 'boxes' - pictures made three-dimensional with paper and clay - at an exhibition called 'Her Reading into the Condensation Property of Time'. The display was at the Exhibition Hall of the Hong Kong Cultural Centre.
'I try to present another angle on drawing,' Yeung said. 'Creativity should not be confined to a pen coupling with a piece of paper. It should have unlimited possibilities and combinations.' Yeung, who said Hong Kong's own culture was developing slowly, hopes to organise a large-scale exhibition after graduating.
