Stolt Comex Seaway (SCS) is expanding its fleet of oil and gas-industry construction support ships with the addition of two new charters.

  The company said it would charter the subsea construction ship Pacific Constructor for the 1997 season with an option to purchase. It would be used to meet commitments in the Middle East and West Africa. If a purchase option is exercised, it would be relocated to the Gulf of Mexico.

   The Toisa Puma had been chartered for this year with options to extend for work on North Sea contracts.
