Chinese Premier Li Peng hopes China Light & Power Co (CLP) will expand co-operation with the mainland on the basis of equality and mutual benefit.

  Mr Li yesterday met CLP chairman Michael Kadoorie. He said the company's co-operation on the mainland's Daya Bay nuclear power project and a pumped storage project in Guangdong province had been successful.
