Wu in Macau super-highway talks
HOPEWELL Holdings managing director Gordon Wu Ying-sheung has been talking to the Macau Government about his proposal to build a super-highway linking Macau with Guangzhou.
Mr Wu met Macau officials last week, although sources suggested the discussions were at an early stage.
Road links between Macau and Guangzhou are limited.
Macau's Mid-term Planning Office director Leonel Miranda and a team of engineers also visited Zhuhai recently to talk to mainland officials responsible for the proposed Guangzhou-Zhuhai railway.
Macau has yet to decide if it wants the railway to be extended into the enclave.
but a site on land being reclaimed between Taipa and Coloane islands has been earmarked for a station.
