The daily newsletter on financial and legal matters will cease publication after owner Raymonde Sacklyn said he was too 'tired' and wanted to 'take things easier'. In the final issue yesterday, he said the transfer to Chinese sovereignty had not influenced his decision. It established itself as a hard-edged news service aimed at corporate fraud, government malpractice and financial abuses by professional groups. In the final edition, particular space was devoted to legislator Chim Pui-chung, with whom Mr Sacklyn has fought a long series of battles. Business leaders who had withdrawn their financial and advertising support for Target received a valedictory statement: 'There will be no more Raymonde Sacklyn to rummage through your dirty, smelly, corporate laundry.'
