DON Clegg, president of the Golf Association of Hongkong, said that negotiations for the territory's first public course are going ahead.

Speaking at the Open prize-giving ceremony, Clegg said: ''Negotiations between the Regional Council and the Royal Hongkong Jockey Club are now at an advanced stage and an announcement is expected before the end of this month.''
