World lost great soul

The death of Deng Xiaoping , provides unparalled opportunities, to the prophets of doom and despair, and particularly to those who conspire to undermine and destroy the socialistic regime of China.

It is perfectly true that while China has lost a great son, the world has also been deprived of a great soul.

The death of this remarkable man, signifies the end of a time, and of an era of courage and human sacrifice, seldom seen before. But, most important of all, in complementing the final years of a millennium, it symbolises a heroic and incomparable fellowship of men and women, who created a modern and dynamic China and gave it nationhood and action.

This vast country, with more than one billion people, is inexorably destined for greatness in the next century. And it would be wiser and more conducive to stability and peace, if those in the West, who aspire to global domination and empire-building, abandoned their plans.

Instead of pursuing such absurd agendas, they should unite with China, in promoting and securing the well-being and freedom of all mankind.

We, the people of Hong Kong are in a unique position.
