Robber fires at pursuers

SEAFOOD restaurant workers were fired at as they chased a robber escaping with $7,000 early this morning. No one was injured and the gunman was seen boarding a goods vehicle which went in the direction of Wong Tai Sin.

He entered the restaurant in Fuk Lo Tsuen Road shortly after 1 am and robbed the cashier at gunpoint.

Meanwhile, two men armed with a pistol held up two security guards inside a lift in the departure hall building at Kai Tak Airport and snatched a cash box containing $200,000.
