The long-established Hong Kong Lawn Bowls Association wants young and old to know the pleasures of playing the game and so runs classes to teach them.
Once they have mastered the basics, there are a number of rinks which can be used by the public. At Victoria Park, for example, there are 10 greens (where up to 12 rinks can be played) and another eight greens at Sha Tin.
The association holds different levels of courses for those interested in the game.
'We have beginners and intermediate courses. The beginners are taught how to play, the basic rules and the proper bowling stance,' said Amy Mok Suet-sum.
'Newcomers who already know how to play might take our intermediate course. This course is run from April through to March the following year at Victoria Park.
'We have four men's and four women's divisions in the league.
