REEBOK International is the first international sponsor of the 1994 Goodwill Games to be held from July 23-August 7 in St Petersburg, Russia.
The terms of the deal mean Reebok will be the official performance athletic footwear and apparel sponsor of the Games, as well as presenting sponsor of the track and field competition, which will feature 2,500 of the world's best athletes.
The sponsorship package includes category exclusivity, and commercial television time on both Turner Broadcasting System (TBS) and ABC networks.
During the 16-day event, TBS will air 64 hours of original prime time programming plus repeat footage, while ABC will air 17 hours of weekend afternoon coverage.
It will be the first time the Goodwill Games have appeared on network television since their inception in 1986. They are expected to be televised in more than 100 countries worldwide.
The sponsorship marks Reebok's debut involvement with the Games although it is a sponsor of the Russian Olympic Team and more than 20 Russian sports federations.
