More than 400 Hong Kong companies have signed up to use Tradelink's electronic document interchange (EDI) service since it started commercially on January 1.
Simon Clennell, spokesman for Tradelink Electronic Document Services, said about half the firms had deployed the necessary software.
The initial Tradelink service subscribers are completing restrained textile export licences electronically and the Customs and Excise Department will begin next month to accept Trade Declarations through Tradelink's EDI gateway.
