A mother came home unexpectedly to find her boyfriend molesting her 11-year-old daughter, the High Court was told yesterday. The girl was lying on the bottom tier of her bunk bed and had scratches on her body, it was claimed. When she told him to stop, her boyfriend of six years grabbed the woman by the hair and stamped on the telephone to stop the young girl contacting the police. Police arrived when the girl's three sisters returned and the mother told them to use a neighbour's telephone. The boyfriend denied indecent assault and two charges of rape, arising from allegations of earlier attacks. The girl, speaking by video link, said the 43-year-old barge worker found her alone at the family flat in Yuen Long in March last year. When she ran to her room, he followed. Using dolls, she showed the court how she said he assaulted her. The girl, now 12, said he also raped her in the summer holidays of 1995. Prosecutor Anna Lai Yun-kee said the girl was raped a second time at the flat, in the Christmas holidays that year. The case, before Deputy Judge Michael Hartmann, continues today.
