The construction of the new playground in Lai Chi Kok Park (Stage II Development) was completed in January of this year with the installation of new children's play equipment.
Unfortunately, some defects were found on the safety matting. For safety reasons, the new playground could not be opened for public use until such defects had been rectified.
I am pleased to tell Mrs Chan that all remedial works were completed and the new playground has been open since February 28. The defective parts of the old playground have also been made good recently.
