Fourteen-year-olds Natalie Banday and Cindy Hah are being groomed to be included in the territory's future Fed Cup tennis squad.
The news came after Hong Kong reached the semi-final of the Asia-Oceania Zone Group One event in New Zealand.
Hong Kong were swept aside by Indonesia 3-0 in the semi-final after surprising many people by reaching the last four of the regional event.
It was the best result for the territory since the tournament changed its format three years ago. A Hong Kong Tennis Association official said Natalie and Cindy are both budding players who could play an integral role in the national squad in three or four years' time.
Hong Kong went down to China 3-0 in the play-off for third place.
Hong Kong lost their number one, Tang Min, in the Indonesian tie after the former Chinese champion suffered a hamstring injury which might put the youngster out of the game for weeks.
