Property developer Soundwill gained 22.7 per cent on its debut yesterday. The company closed at $2.675 against the issue price of $2.18. It was one of the most sought after stocks with 91.63 million shares worth $273.79 million changing hands. Ben Kwong, research director of Dharmala Securities, said: 'Rumours Cosco has some interest in the company sparked speculative buying and gave a boost to the counter. 'But some investors find the fundamentals of the company unattractive, given the lack of good quality projects. That largely explains why it closed near the day's low.'
