Three on robbery charge
THREE men appeared in Eastern Court yesterday charged with robbery following a $1.3 million jewellery raid in which a man was shot dead by police.
Wu Ngan-hang, 30, Li Shu-yan, alias Cheung Siu-yuen, 27, and Chan Kin-man, 32, are alleged to have stolen goods worth $1,363,604 from the Emperor Gold and Jewellery Company in North Point on Monday. They were remanded in custody until Monday.
Wu, an electrician, and Li, unemployed, are illegal immigrants from mainland China. Chan, a transport worker, is a Hongkong resident.
