Cheung Chau Government Secondary School's 33rd speech day brought past and present students and teachers together to honour the school's top students. The principal, Chan Lui Ying-yee, welcomed the guests-of-honour who included Hong Po-sum, Principal Education Officer of the New Territories. Mr Hong enlightened the audience on the concept of quality education. 'A quality school can develop even the potential of low achievers . . . The quality of education should therefore be best assessed by the input and by the school process and the education outcome,' he said.
