A CONSORTIUM of 27 Japanese banks has arranged a US$300 million syndicated loan to the Bank of China.

The signing was completed in Tokyo yesterday.

The loan will be used for projects in China including a power plant and a petrochemical project. The projects have been approved by the State Planning Commission in Beijing.
