A schoolboy who hanged himself with a belt from a bunk bed was playing and did not mean to die, a coroner said yesterday. Coroner David Thomas recorded a verdict of misadventure in the death of Kwok Wai-lung, 10. Kwok was born in China but had adapted well to Hong Kong. Mother Chan Nga-sum, 36, had believed her youngest son, who ranked among the top 10 in his class, was killed. Mr Thomas said there was no evidence any other person had been responsible for Kwok's death. 'It is quite clear to me a play game with his belt went tragically wrong,' he said.
