A teenage illegal immigrant was found hiding behind the piano in the Belgian Consul-General's Peak home yesterday - just a month after another mainland boy broke into the Barker Road residence.
The 14-year-old was found by a housekeeper. He was caught after falling down a slope as he tried to flee.
The boy, who was taken to Queen Mary Hospital suffering from facial injuries, told police he sneaked into Hong Kong aboard a train from China on Tuesday.
Nothing was taken from the house, which has been unoccupied since Piet Steel was recalled to Brussels to head the Foreign Ministry's United Nations section.
Last month a hungry 13-year-old illegal immigrant, reportedly from Shenzhen, was found in the laundry room, and in April 1995 an intruder stole a maid's handbag containing $700 from the secluded house, which overlooks Victoria Harbour.
In August 1995 another illegal immigrant broke into the nearby home of Belgian Vice-Consul Veronique Siklosi and robbed house guests of $1,000.
