HACTL rise and caution
HONGKONG Air Cargo terminals (HACTL) said it handled 62,471 tonnes of air cargo in January, three per cent more than in January last year.
But the company warned the comparison was distorted by the timing of Lunar New Year and said a clearer picture would emerge around March.
Compared with last January, exports by air grew by 3.1 per cent to 32,640 tonnes while imports by air grew 2.3 per cent to 23,839 tonnes.
Transshipment from aircraft to aircraft increased 5.3 per cent to 5,992 tonnes.
