A FISHERMAN from China who bought two motorcycles for his sons and two other bikes which he planned to sell was jailed for two months yesterday.

    Chan Choi-sing, 43, pleaded guilty to using a boat to carry prescribed articles, namely four motorbikes, without lawful excuse.

   Eastern Court heard that police intercepted Chan's boat off Stonecutters Island on Tuesday and found the bikes, worth a total of $4,000.

   Magistrate Mr Michael Hill said: ''You fishermen who come here from China are supposed to catch fish, not motorbikes.''
