Dragon Lore 2 for PCs with CD-Roms One of the more exciting games to arrive on the scene is the latest from the Dune and Dragon Lore team - Dragon Lore 2.

  Now the hordes from the mythical world of the Land of Nightmares are getting ready to attack the Valley.

  You are of course the hero. The Dragon Prince has named you Werner von Wallenrod, the Dragon Knight. After all, you showed your might in the first Dragon Lore game and deserve to be honoured.

  But nothing is that simple, a power- hungry lord has decided to challenge your status. After all, as everybody knows, every Dragon Knight must have a protective dragon nearby, and yours, the wonderful and brave Maraach (remember him from the first Dragon Lore?) has disappeared.

  Your quest is to travel far and wide to bring back Maraach and fight for your honour in the joust of the Valley of Dreams.

  You need to travel through distant and mysterious lands. You will encounter some extremely strange creatures and face life-threatening challenges.

   Just as you think things will be fine, those hordes from the Land of Nightmares attack. You soon discover that the Valley is in extreme danger.

  The Dragon Knights are desperate for a strong leader to defend them in this world which is under siege.

 Are you brave enough to face the challenges that await you and, importantly, do you have the confidence of your fellow knights?    Only if they trust you will they follow you, but this is not in everybody's interests.

   Are you truly worthy of the Wallenrod name? Only time and game playing will answer these questions.

  This game is sure to keep you busy. It features an amazing 80-plus hours of play. The graphics are excellent, and even surpass the first Dragon Lore. Everything is seen in a dramatic first-person view - watch dragons fly and mythical creatures saunter around. This surreal realm is designed with imagination and talent. The full screen 3-D effects are magnificent.

  Unlike many interactive adventure games, Dragon Lore 2 is engrossing and fun - not just an excuse for great graphics with little substance.

  There are 20 combat and 10 jousting sequences, all of which need plenty of concentration and skill. There is plenty of mystery in the plot to keep the computer user interested.

  The soundtrack is also of a high standard and the sound effects are both realistic and add to the drama. Dragon Lore 2 is definitely recommended.

  You need an IBM Compatible PC; 486DX266; 8 MB RAM, 45 MB on hard disk; 2 x speed CD-ROM drive; video card; SVGA compatible sound card. A Pentium is recommended.

  MEGAHINT: Watch your back at all times - you never know what's coming from behind.

  MEGAHINT: Make sure you know who your friends really are . . . there could be treachery afoot.
