Ronald McDonald (pictured above and left) entertained Hong Kong youngsters and helped mark Children's Day.

 He donated more than 60,000 Happy Meal toys to about 300 organisations, including Spastics Association schools, Caritas Centres for Children, Heep Hong Children's Centres, and the Society for the Protection of Children.

  All the organisations benefiting provide special services to children.

 'We wanted kids everywhere to share in the fun that Happy Meal toys bring, so I thought why not donate some of our toys to kids who may not have the opportunity to visit our restaurants,' said McDonald's managing director Don Dempsey.
