An advertisement for Durex condoms to be shown at a French cultural festival has been ruled unsuitable for children.
A Category IIB rating has been placed on the show, which will be screened at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium.
The advert is one of many featured in the Night of the Ad Eaters, produced by French artist Jean Marie Boursicot, which features the best and worst of the world's commercials.
Organisers Alliance Francaise fell foul of the Urban Council last year, resulting in a ban on posters featuring a man's bare backside.
Director-general of the group, Pierre-Yves Sonalet, admitted at the launch of Le French May yesterday that some of the adverts 'are quite sexy'.
The Television and Entertainment Licensing Authority 'was not very sure' of the Durex advert and required proof it had been shown in other countries.
