A BUSINESSWOMAN embroiled in controversy over distance learning degrees has been accused of recruiting students for a bogus university.

One week after the Sunday Morning Post revealed Teresa Li Suk-fun had been told to stop representing US-based Kensington University, amid allegations of impropriety, a new scandal is brewing.

Students say Ms Li, understood to have collected millions in course fees during four years as Kensington's programme director in Hong Kong, has been urging its students to switch to another American institution.

Aided by a glossy prospectus, Ms Li has convinced some to sign up with Lincoln City University in Delaware.

But the university exists in name only and was incorporated as a business just two months ago, on February 18.

The prospectus, filled with pictures of dignified old buildings, lush lawns and well-resourced libraries, proclaims: 'Lincoln City is a university that has seen the largest increase in students of any other university of its kind. We have students from every state in the nation and 82 countries around the world.' 'Lincoln City has produced some of the best business leaders, engineers, teachers, lawyers, scientists, philosophers and leaders in other field,' it advises potential paying students.
