Pager a boon at PolyU

Polytechnic University (PolyU) students and staff will soon be able to check their electronic mail without having to access a computer.

A paging system, PolyU-Call Service, alerts users to e-mail messages through their pagers.

The service is a joint project with ABC communications. Staff and students who are subscribers of ABC paging service are eligible for this new option.

'PolyU-Call will help the PolyU enhance two-way communications among staff and students,' said a spokeswoman for ABC. 'The service will have far-reaching and positive effects on the PolyU's activities.'
